The Forest Landowners Association needs your help. The recently passed Energy Law contained a renewable fuel standard that could have spurred new markets for forest products. However, the definition of biomass in the law excludes 88% of our forest and has the potential to impact the locations of new facilities where we could sell wood. A bill has been introduced in the House of Representatives that would fix this problem, but we need your help. Please click the "Take Action" button now to send an email message to your member of Congress asking him or her to co-sponsor the bill that will include your forestland. Forest landowners have been excluded once; the only way to ensure it doesn't happen again is to take action by sending this message to your representative today. | |
