Between January 1 and June 7, 2007, 2,731 wildfires burned 305,347 acres in Florida. Approximately 122,560 of these acres (about 2,506 wildfires) impacted private lands. For landowners impacted by these fires, this program will help you evaluate fire damage in your forest stands and decide what actions may be necessary to minimize your risk of future damage from insects. Other topics will include tax treatment of damaged stands and regeneration expenses as well as Federal cost-shares that may be available to assist with regeneration and other stand treatments.

2.5 Category 1 SAF Continuing Forestry Education Credits will be available for foresters.
