Program Summary: Would you sell your house or car without knowing their market value? What about your timber? This Program will focus on some strategies that will help us sell timber for what it’s worth. This process requires some planning before advertising or talking to prospective buyers but, as you will learn, it will be well worth your time. Timber sales are best approached in a business-like manner so that both the seller and buyer are satisfied with the results. This workshop will give you an update on the state of north Florida’s timber market, provide some background on how the timber market works, and most importantly, equip you with some guidelines to follow when planning and conducting a timber sale. Above all, getting assistance with this process is the best advice. Guidelines for marketing alternative products such as pine straw and hunting/recreation leases will also be discussed.
