The fast-paced agenda includes strategies for conserving forestland in our rapidly urbanizing state, ideas for managing forests for wildlife, a session on income, estate and property taxes for woodland owners, and a hot-button review of the potential for woody biomass as an alternative to imported oil. There also will be time for discussion and interaction with the speakers and forestry experts on sound silvicultural methods, wildlife habitat enhancement, soil conservation, and water quality, cost-sharing programs, and poper estate planning.
