The Forest Landowners Association welcomes Brendan Davis as its new Government Affairs Coordinator. Prior to joining the Forest Landowners Association, Brendan worked on and managed a variety of state and federal political campaigns and served as staff to a member of Congress.
The mission of the Forest Landowners Association Government Affairs is to influence Federal policy through regulation and legislation. This policy helps forest landowners maintain and improve their forestland investments. FLA achieves this mission by means of grassroots advocacy, educational programs, and campaign support.
“I am excited to be a part of such a strong national organization. I look forward to working with the government affairs committee, FLA staff, and FLA’s contract lobbyist Frank Stewart to help grow both our grassroots advocacy and our government affairs presence in Washington,” says Davis.
“The Governmental Affairs Coordinator position was created to communicate better to our members and the private forest landowner community at large the important work on federal policy issues the Forest Landowners Association carries out on their behalf. We expect FLA grassroots advocacy to increase and for our association to be viewed as the source for positions that private forest landowners are taking on various issues by members of Congress and the administration,” says FLA Executive Vice President, Scott Jones.
